Mary A. Mitchell

 

  Mary A. Mitchell of Mooresville, Indiana passed away Wednesday July 28, 2010 in the presence of the Lord. She was born June 23, 1925 to Jayne Beeler Schooler and John Schooler of Valley Creek, Tennessee.

  Mary taught school 15 years in various parts of Tennessee, owned Mickey and Bill’s Pizza in Mars Hill and worked at the Bridge Street Casey’s in Mooresville her last 4 working years. She worshiped at River of Life Church of God, was a member of Decatur Businessmen’s Association, Indiana Sheriff’s Association and the Deputy Sheriff’s Fraternal Organization.

  Mary is survived by husband of 56 years, Clarence (Mickey) Mitchell; son, Michael Edward Mitchell of Indianapolis; daughter, Rebecca Jane Vorhies of Lafayette, TN. She is also mourned by children she helped raise that include Phyllis J. Lee, Vickie L. Cole, Norma Anderson of Indianapolis, and June A. Rather of Lolo, Montana. She was preceded in death by 8 siblings, and leaves behind 2 brothers, Fred (Buddy) Schooler of Bridgeport and Victor Schooler of Mooresville.

  Funeral service conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday August 2, 2010 at River of Life Church of God, 6100 Kentucky Ave. at Millhouse Rd., with Reverends John Quilgy and Terry Wagner officiating. Calling from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday August 1, 2010 at the church. Committal service and interment immediately following the funeral in the family plot of West Newton Cemetery.
