| The family of Doris Ethel Powers mourns
her passing. Born June 13, 1942 to Robert H. Strain and Esther A.
Barrett Strain at Harrodsburg, Indiana. Entered into rest July 25, 2010
at her Harrodsburg home. Her memory will be cherished by husband, Robert Powers; children, Elmer Powers and Esther Astley; siblings, Deward Strain and Darlene Anderson; grandchildren, Daniel and Caleb. She is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both parents. Doris was retired from the United States Postal Service and Sarkes Tarzian. For many years she voluntarily published “El Progomero Latino,” a Christian tract distributed freely in Latin America. This mission was her greatest pleasure and the last work completed the night of her journey home. Funeral service conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday July 30, 2010 at Harrodsburg Church of Christ, 9202 S. First St. Harrodsburg. Visitation 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday July 29, 2010 at the church and one hour prior to the service Friday. Interment immediately following the funeral in the family plot of Clover Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. |
