The
family of James Arthur “Flap” Fender mourns his passing. Born January 10,
1948 at Bowling Green, Indiana to Russell Fender and Elsie (Long) Fender.
Entered into rest August 17, 2008 at Owen Valley Health Campus.
His memory will be cherished by children, Teresa Collins, David
Fender, both of Spencer, James Fender of Bloomington; siblings, Edna
Hammock, Barbara Solarsky, Lewis Fender, Steven Fender, Russell Fender; 4
grandchildren.
He is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both
parents; brother, Frank Fender.
Jim served his country honorably in the US Army in Viet-Nam,
earning the National Defense Service Medal, was trained in Military Justice
and Code of Conduct and a marksman on the M14 rifle.
His family gave him the greatest pleasure. Jim was known for his
skill at building and repairing Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed
riding with friends.
Funeral service for the family is private. His earthly remains will
be interred in the family plot with his parents and ancestors, early
settlers of Owen County. |
