William Joseph Moore

  The family of William Joseph Moore mourns his passing. Born October 7, 1942 at Terre Haute, Indiana to Lofton Morgan Moore and Mary M. Riley Moore. Entered into rest March 2, 2008 at St. Vincent’s Hospital of Brazil, Indiana.

  His memory will be cherished by wife, Victoria Dufour Moore; son, Terrence William (Holly) Moore of Henderson, Nevada; granddaughter, Mindy Marie Moore; niece, Colleen Riley; nephews, Ian Hartsock, Michael Stephenson; a large extended family sometimes referred to as the “outlaws.”

  He is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both parents; siblings, Mary Virginia Stephenson, Kathleen Hartsock, Tommy Moore.

  Bill enjoyed reading, hunting, traveling, love of the land and a simple life. A man strong in mind, body, and spirit, with a deep sense of independence and a deeper love for his wife and their farm. He worked for Merchants Freight, Conrail 20 years, and was a beef cow/calf operation owner since 1969.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 5:00 p.m. Thursday March 6, 2008 at St. Jude Catholic Church of Spencer, Indiana by the Reverend Father Paul M. Dede, pastor of St. Jude Parish. Friends may call upon the family from 3:00 p.m. Thursday until the time of Mass at the church. Interment to take place in a private family ceremony.

  Memorial contributions in honor of William may be directed to the Owen Community Foundation, Jefferson Township Fund: St. Jude Church Fund. Envelopes will be provided at the church.
