Victor Larimer entered into peaceful rest on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at
Bloomington Hospital with his caring family at his side. He was born to
Arthur and Lily (Cejnar) Larimer in Chicago and grew up with his sister and
five brothers.
The family moved to the Solsberry and Bloomington area where Victor
attended Solsberry High School. He married Betty Stalcup on July 3, 1960 and
together they started a family. Their children are: Alexia Larimer Bock &
husband Robert; Angela Larimer Delgado& husband Ron; Preston Larimer & wife
Melissa; eleven grandchildren, Crystal Bock Unger & husband, Daniel of
Wabash; Robert A. Bock of Tennessee; Nicholas, Richard, & Carter Larimer;
Robert Dodds of N. Carolina, James Dodds, Stefanie Delgado, Marlon Delgado,
and Farrah Wheeler & husband Tyson, all of Connecticut; and two
great-grandchildren Tyson & Tiara Wheeler of Connecticut. Also survived by
siblings, David & Miyako Larimer of Solsberry; Charles Larimer of Texas;
John & Joy Larimer of Great Britain; mother-in law, Mary Stalcup; a large,
loving extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted church family
and friends.
Victor served his country honorably in the US Air Force, and as a security
officer for Indiana University. With Betty, they started their own
commercial cleaning business. He returned to school and became certified in
heating & cooling, beginning his next career.
He is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both
parents; siblings, Clifford, Gene, and Nancy Larimer; grandchild, Debra-Ann
Dodds; father-in-law, Charles Stalcup.
Funeral
Service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at McCormicks
Creek United Pentecostal Church, 3138 East SR 46, Spencer, IN with pastor
Rick Robertson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the
time of the service at the church. Interment will take place in a private
family service. Military Rites will be accorded by the American Legion,
Spencer Post 285 and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Spencer Post 1405 Honor
Guard. Nathan Butler Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements. |
