Robert Lee Pless

 The family of Robert Lee Pless mourns his passing. Born October 7, 1929 in Monroe County to Francis Herbert Pless and Emily Ellen Stancomb Pless. Entered into rest March 11, 2008 at the Waters of Greencastle Convalescent Center, surrounded by loving family.
  His memory will be cherished by wife, Nina Evans Pless; children, Thomas “Tom” Pless, Paul “Chris” Pless, both of Spencer; siblings, Carrie Kiser, Ellettsville, William Delbert Pless, Lafayette; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Tristan, Kayla, and Jamee Pless, all of Spencer; daughters-in-law, Lora and Jennifer Pless, Spencer; many nieces and nephews.
He will be reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both parents; son, Robert Steven Pless; siblings, Dorothy Gilson, Catherine Robertson, Dora May, Eula Campbell, Eva Marie Pless, Sarah Pless, John Herbert Pless, George Vernon Pless.
Robert served his country honorably in the US Army during World War II and was a member of the Spencer Church of Christ.
  He was a meat cutter at Bloomington Packing House, constructed buildings on the IU Campus, worked at Franklin Manufacturing and Studebaker Corp. (now G.E.); diamond sawyer at Bybee Stone and McNeely’s Stone mills, and retired from Owen County Farm Bureau in 1991.
Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday March 14, 2008 at Spencer Church of Christ, 720 East Morgan Street, with Brother Gary Fiscus officiating.
 

  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 at the church, and one hour prior to service Tuesday at the church.
  Interment immediately following the funeral in the family plot of Hudson Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded graveside by the Honor Guard, VFW Post 1405 and American Legion Post 285 of Spencer.
