Marilyn Ruth Woodruff

Marilyn Ruth Woodruff was truly a great woman.  In her lifetime she knew no wealth by worldly standards, yet her heart and mind possessed treasures beyond mortal comprehension.  A very passionate human being in all respects, she continually immersed herself in the greatest music ever composed, the best literature ever written and the most profound thoughts uttered in the history of humanity.
Although rarely credited for her achievements, Marilyn Woodruff was most proud of her noble career and purpose in the early part of her life:  raising her children.  She believed with all of her heart and soul that it was her sacred duty to exalt greatness and excellence on all levels, expose mediocrity and promote the Christian faith.  Outward display of religious ceremony was never her goal, but her abiding faith manifested itself in her personal time of worshipping God in her own way and studying the Bible in private.
Marilyn Woodruff was born to Herbert and Opal Whalen in Washington, Indiana, and is survived by her loving husband Jack Woodruff; her two sons Kevin W. Woodruff and Dr. Warren L. Woodruff; her sister Eleanor Hobson, brothers Don and Robert Whalen and many nieces and nephews.  May the lives and deeds of all who were touched by this wonderful woman be her eternal legacy.
