19, 1989 - June 17, 2007 Ryan lane Gooch died on Tuesday afternoon at IU Medical Center from complications that arose from a rare brain disease. One of his teacher's Barb Curry wrote: “One of Ryan's best attributes was his huge heart and his upbeat attitude. He always came to school with a smile on his face. He was kind to everyone and always made us laugh." Ryan's interests were computer and console games, learning the guitar, and engaging in intense debates about a multitude of topics. His intention was to continue to college in Computer Sciences. He resided with his mother, Trisha (Hayse) Gooch and sister Brianna Gooch in Bloomongton and would have been a junior at Aurora High School this year. He is survived by his brother Cabren Gooch and finace Betsy Marshall of Bloomington; grandmother, Patty Hayse Davis and her husband, Merle Davis, of Owensburg; Uncle, David Hayse and his wife Erin; Best Friend, Shane Meek of Bloomington; father, Monty Gooch of Fort Myers, Florida; aunts, Leiane (Gooch) Bellmore and Laura Gooch; and uncle, Brad Gooch. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather Charles "Buster" Hayse. An informal celebration of his life will be held 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the family farm in Owensburg. A simple funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to Aurora Alternative High School, 524 North Fairview, Bloomington, IN, 47404 in memory of Ryan Gooch. This money will be used to purchase much needed electronic equipment. Ryan was very proud to be a student of Aurora. A map of the location of the services can be found online at www.forevercare.org.
